The Compex SP4, also known as the Compex SP 4.0, is a wired, four-channel muscle stimulator with 30 programmes across conditioning, fitness, recovery/massage, pain management and rehabilitation. It combines neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) for muscle stimulation with transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) programmes for pain management. Includes 3 year manufacturer guarantee.
Available from Total Wellness to buy or rent in new or used condition, the SP4 includes WhatsApp video training to help you get started with your device. Choose purchase if you want to own your SP4, or hire for a minimum of four weeks. Used rental devices include new electrodes, and additional weeks are available at a lower weekly rate after the initial hire period.
What makes the Compex SP4 different?

The SP4 offers a wired alternative to the wireless SP6 and SP8. The SP6 also has 30 programmes, while the SP8 has 40 programmes and additional Muscle Intelligence features.
Compex SP4 rental prices
The minimum rental period is four weeks. For this initial period, the weekly rates are:
- Used Compex SP4: £30 per week.
- Brand-new Compex SP4: £35 per week.
Additional weeks cost £20 per week. This is the extension rate after the initial four weeks, not the starting weekly rental price.

- New electrodes included with rentals.
Ex-rental devices come with the full manufacturer's warranty and brand-new electrodes, as supplied with a new device.
Returning your rental or keeping the device
Return the Compex when you have finished using it. We will calculate the rental cost and refund the balance. Alternatively, you can keep the device and we keep the deposit. Read our full rental terms before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Compex SP4 wireless?
No. The SP 4.0 uses cables to connect the handset to the electrodes. The SP6 and SP8 use wireless modules.
Does the SP4 include TENS programmes?
Yes. Alongside its muscle stimulation programmes, the SP4 includes pain management TENS programmes. NMES and TENS serve different purposes: NMES stimulates muscle contractions, while TENS is used for pain management.
Can I choose a new or used SP4?
Yes. Both new and used options are available to buy or rent.
How long is the minimum hire period?
The minimum is four weeks, charged at £30 per week used or £35 per week brand new. Additional weeks are £20 per week.
Is help getting started included?
Yes. WhatsApp video training is included with this listing.
