Compression recovery

A simple recovery-day routine with Squid Go compression

A recovery day does not have to mean doing nothing, and it does not have to be packed with gadgets. The aim is to give your body room to adapt while staying within the activity limits that make sense for you. If Squid Go compression is suitable for your circumstances, it can be one optional part of that routine.

Start with the reason for the lighter day

If you are recovering from exercise, consider how hard the previous sessions were and how you feel today. If you are rehabilitating an injury, your clinician’s plan takes priority. Pain that is new, worsening or unexplained is not something to solve by adding compression.

Make space for gentle movement

Depending on your plan, an easy walk or prescribed mobility exercises may help you keep moving without repeating a hard session. Avoid turning a recovery day into another test of your limits. Eating well, drinking enough and making time for sleep remain useful basics.

Where Squid Go can fit

Squid Go is a portable system that applies cyclical compression through a wrap. If you have been advised that compression is suitable, follow the specific product’s instructions for fit, pressure and session length. It should feel comfortable rather than painful. More pressure is not automatically more helpful.

Check for reasons to pause

Seek professional advice before using compression after surgery or if you have unexplained limb swelling, a suspected blood clot, circulation concerns or an infection. Stop if you feel numbness, tingling, increasing pain or a change in skin colour. New or severe symptoms need assessment, not another recovery session.

Keep your routine simple enough to repeat and adjust it with your clinician as your activity changes. This article is general information, not individual medical advice.
